Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
In the pool, and watching
An instructor is in the water beside every swimmer. Parents and caregivers watch from the deck or from the bench behind the glass, and we ask that one stays on site during every class. Tell us at the placement visit what helps your swimmer. Lessons are no substitute for adult supervision.
What to wear and bring
A swimsuit or a swim shirt, whichever your swimmer likes. Please tie long hair back and bring a towel. Goggles, a cap and anything that helps your swimmer are welcome, and if your swimmer uses a mobility device, we will plan where it waits.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your swimmer home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and tell us so we can offer a make-up class.
Closures for weather and holidays
We text families when the pool closes for weather, repairs or a holiday. A class lost to a closure is made up within the same session.
Leaving the program
Please give us two weeks' notice before a swimmer leaves, so we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist. What happens to a session in progress is on the enrollment page.
Drop-off and pickup
After class the instructor walks each swimmer back to a parent or to a grown-up named at registration. If someone new is collecting, please tell the front desk before class.
Watching class
Brothers, sisters and friends are welcome on the bench behind the glass or on the deck. Please keep them back from the edge of the pool and keep strollers and chairs out of the ramp's way.
Screens and phones
Please keep phones away from the water's edge. Photos of other families' swimmers are not allowed on the deck.
